My Little Sister Mary Doll Vintage 1984 Fisher-Price Toy
This vintage Fisher-Price doll from 1984 is My Little Sister Mary. She has pretty blonde hair with honey-colored highlights, blue eyes, and a sweet smile. Her hair is styled in pigtails and she wears a bright, colorful outfit.
Her head is made of hard plastic and her rooted hair is brushable. She has a soft cloth body with a sewn-on shirt and pants and a removable skirt. Her shirt is white with a ruffle down the front and a turquoise bow at the neck. It has a pattern with colorful triangles and puffy sleeves.
Her legs are bright pink and her feet are navy blue. Her skirt is turquoise with a pink waistband and a Velcro closure. When her skirt is removed, it looks like she's wearing pants with a navy blue waistband.
Mary's tag is marked #200. This is the same number used for the lap sitter Mary doll released in 1973, but this version has hands made of cloth instead of molded plastic. Her body is also stuffed a little fuller so she can't bend at the waist like the lap sitter dolls.
Mary shows some play wear and her hands are a little dirty, but her tag says she's machine washable and can be tumble-dried on low heat. The bows in her hair are not the ones she originally came with, but they match her outfit well.
The back of her neck is marked "1976 Fisher Price" and the tag on her back is dated 1984.
