Postage Stamp Collage Necklace with German & Czech Republic Stamps
This double-sided soldered pendant necklace features a collage of postage stamps from Germany, Czech Republic, and Hungary in shades of brown and wine. There are also several gold watch gears for a steampunk look.
The stamp from Germany (Deutsche Bundespost) sets the tone for this industrial theme with its detailed illustration of the Braunkohlen Förderbagger (brown coal mining excavators). The Czech stamp (Ceska Republika) behind this shows old buildings, and the Hungarian (Magyar Posta) stamp on the back features the countess/princess Zrínyi Ilona, a heroine and freedom fighter for Hungary and Croatia, in a lovely shade of wine.
The pendant hangs from a spiral of copper on a necklace of gold organdy ribbon. Crystals and a freshwater pearl in shades of brown and wine also accent the piece. The necklace is reversible and can be worn with either side of the pendant showing, making this two pendants in one.
