Papa Bearinger Ornament from The Bearingers of Victoria Circle
This vintage Hallmark Keepsake Ornament is Papa Bearinger, he's #1 in The Bearingers of Victoria Circle series from 1993. He's a handsome, tan-colored bear and is wearing blue pants, a white dress shirt, a burgundy vest, and a green bow tie. He's holding a hammer in one hand so he can hang a stocking on the mantel.
There were four ornaments in The Bearingers of Victoria Circle series - Papa Bearinger, Mama Bearinger, and their two children, son Abearnathy Bearinger and daughter Bearnadette Bearinger. There was a lighted tabletop display shaped like a fireplace with raised pegs on it and each ornament had an indented shape on the bottom so it could fit on the pegs.
Papa Bearinger has a rectangular indentation on the base, as shown in the last photo. When displayed with the tabletop set, his raised foot rests on the base of the fireplace. He also has a hook on top of his head so he can hang on the tree instead.
The bottom of the ornament is marked "1993 Hallmark Cards, Inc."
