Hello Kitty Pencil Box Case Vintage 1992 with Miniature Piano, Pencil Sharpener

This rare vintage Hello Kitty pencil box case by Sanrio is red and has lots of fun features, including a pencil sharpener and a miniature electronic piano that really works. There are three small compartments on top that open separately and one large compartment on the bottom to hold pens and pencils.

The designs on the case show Hello Kitty with teddy bears, cups of coffee or tea, a book, and a wrapped present. The designs are in bright primary colors.

The compartment on the left side has a built-in pencil sharpener and some tiny storage space for erasers, paper clips, etc. The middle compartment has a miniature electronic piano that plays 13 different notes. The piano has been tested and works but requires two 384/392 watch batteries, which are not included.  The compartment on the right side has a part that lifts up and holds pencils upright.

The lower compartment of the case has some pencil lead marks on the sides and some of the designs on the top have some scuffs or scratches, as shown in the photos, but the case is otherwise in good condition and is a rare find for your collection.

The top of the case is marked "1976, 1992 Sanrio Co., Ltd."
