Strawberry Shortcake Dolls

The original line of Strawberry Shortcake dolls was released in 1979. The dolls had food-themed names and were scented to match their name. There were small poseable dolls as well as larger cloth rag dolls.

The First Issue dolls had flat hands and Apple Dumplin was the only one who came with a pet. The second issue dolls had pets and curved hands that could hold accessories. There were also new characters introduced

As the doll line grew to include the International Friends, Sweet Sleeper dolls, Party Pleaser dolls, Berry Baby dolls, Baby Blow Kiss dolls, and Berrykin dolls, there were variations of the original characters and some new characters added in as well. The world of Strawberry Shortcake also included villains!

The Berry Wear doll clothes line offered additional fashions the dolls could wear.
