Willy the Worm Pin Pal Vintage Avon 1974 Children's Apple Lapel with Fragrance Glacé
This vintage pin by Avon is the Willy the Worm Pin Pal from 1974. It features a red plastic apple with a green worm wearing a red stocking cap. The back of the pin opens up and has solid fragrance inside.
The pin comes with its original box, which shows some wear due to age. The pin is in good condition and still has unused solid fragrance glacé perfume inside.
The back of the box says, "What surprise is Willy hiding? Find out by lifting (not pulling) notch on back of pin. Smooth glacé on wrists, etc. Wear Willy as a pin...or as a pendant on a chain or ribbon. When the fragrance is gone, he'll hold a favorite photo or other little special secret!"
Fragrances degrade over time, so the fragrance glacé may no longer have the same scent it did 40+ years ago and is best used as a collectible for display or for sentimental value rather than to wear as perfume.
The back is marked "Avon 1974."
