This vintage Avon pipe decanter is from Deep Woods aftershave and is made of brown glass in the shape of a man's bearded face. The pipe is empty, but comes in its original box.

The back of the box reads "This one-of-a-kind original pipe, that inspired the designer of our Avon decanter, belongs to a well-known collector of military and Americana antiques. The pipe, which is believed to have been carved by a Union soldier in the 1860's, may be a self-portrait, but it bears no identification. The folk art of carving pipes, from tree roots or branches was popular during the Civil War, but died quickly after the war ended."

The decanter is in good condition.
