Strawberry Shortcake Butterfly Flitter Bit Toy for Dolls
This vintage Strawberry Shortcake toy is Flitter Bit, a yellow plastic butterfly with wings that move and seats on the back so two dolls can go for a ride. There's a wheel on the bottom so the butterfly can roll on a flat surface and a lever on the back that makes the wings move up and down when squeezed.
Flitter Bit has clear yellow plastic wings with green and red designs. The wings pull out from the body for compact storage. There are two strawberry-shaped seats that go on top with seat belts to hold the dolls in place.
Flitter Bit shows some wear and the back seat doesn't stay in place because the peg that would hold it in place is broken off, as shown in the photos. It may be possible to just glue the seat in place. The peg where the seat belt would clasp is also broken.
The butterfly is otherwise in good working condition and would make a fun way to display your dolls. The last photo shows how the dolls can be displayed on Flitter Bit. The dolls shown, Strawberry Shortcake and Cherry Cuddler, are sold separately and are not included. This listing is for the Flitter Bit shown in the first four photos.
The wings are marked "American Greetings Corp. 1981."
