The Sunshine Ponies were released in Year 7 of the My Little Pony line and featured ponies with streaks of hair that change color in the sunlight.

All of the ponies in the line had beach-themed names and symbols. Their symbols cover the sides of their bodies, similar to the Twice as Fancy Ponies.

Some of the Sunshine Ponies came with butterfly brushes and others came with a sunshine hair pick.
