Here’s what you’ll need:
Cupcakes (Funfetti or any flavor you like)
Foil cupcake wrappers
1-2 cans Betty Crocker Cupcake Icing (frosting in a spray can)
Snowflake paper punches or snowflake cupcake toppers
Wilton Edible Star Sprinkles

To make the snowflake cupcake toppers:
Glue a toothpick to the back of each snowflake paper punch. Then decorate the snowflake with the glitter glue. (I did two coats for lots of sparkle). Since the glitter glue takes awhile to dry, it’s best to do this a day ahead of time and let it dry overnight. I used glitter glue so the glitter wouldn’t flake off onto the cupcakes.
To make the colored sugar:
Mix some sugar and liquid food coloring in a bowl and let it dry overnight. Stir occasionally to speed up drying and break up lumps.
To make the cupcakes:
Bake the cupcakes according to the directions. When cool, top with frosting and sprinkles, then add a cupcake topper.
Place each cupcake into a small cellophane bag filled with several strands of the decorative tinsel. Tie with a small piece of curling ribbon and add a handmade gift tag.
